Chili Chefs Info & Sign Up
Sign-up to compete with your favorite chili recipe! Instructions for the San Manuel, AZ Chili Cook-off are below.
Sign Up – Show off your favorite chili recipe of any chili style–red, green or your own chili creation and compete for cash prizes! Have a team of up to 4 members. Open to beginner thru expert cooks and youth (18 & under). Entering is free.
Applications – You will need to fill out both a Chili Cook-Off Sign Up form and also a county Temporary Food Booth Application form. Download and print the pdf’s below…

The forms must reach us by April 15th. Please fill out both application forms and mail them to:

Awards – There will be cash prizes for the top best three chili’s, one peoples choice and for one youth.
Chefs’ Schedule – Chili chefs need to start setup around 7am ready for an inspection that takes place at 8am on the day of the cook-off.
Your Booth – Bring a canopy to cover your booth along with side walls to protect your work area from possible debris. Gloves and masks will need to be supplied by you as well as a fire extinguisher and a three tub dish-washing station at your booth. (More info in the Temporary Food Booth Application form).
Also, you will need to bring a gas cooker or BBQ and can use electric if you bring your own generator.
Chili Cooking – Make at least 3 gallons of chili such as red, green or any style to have enough for tasting and judging. You can also make chili to sell. All food needs to be prepared onsite. Cups will be provided for taste testing.
Food Storage – Meats and such can be stored at a commercial refrigeration area before use. We will contact you closer to the Cook-Off to inform you where you can store your meats if necessary.
Ice is sold in San Manuel at Salt ‘N Pepper gas station, Family Dollar & Dollar General.
